This year marks 202 years since the first Chinese migrant arrived in Australia back in 1818, yet the historical connections between Chinese and Indigenous people have largely gone unrecorded. The artist’s great grandfather James Ahoy immigrated to Australia in 1897. This work shows the two oldest cultures in the world – their past warriors
