Description
This image depicts the ancestral heart of Australia. There are over 4,000 sacred sites over this area. The elders believe it is a resting place for Ancestral Beings. This image is of the Olgas and Uluru and going into Cooper Pedy and Lake Ayer. The artist was given permission to paint this image by the Central Desert Land Council. This is a very significant site relating to a male initiation site at the Olgas, women’s business at Uluru, and mining in Cooper Pedy.
